Many times I’ve been ahead at the casino with large amounts, but I didn’t go home with anything, and rarely did I manage to! My friendly advice, even if your hands are itching to play: if you hit a number at roulette or slots that brought you a substantial win compared to the money you entered the casino with, STAND UP and leave, not a single hand more!!One of the healthiest strategies to avoid losing everything. One of the hardest things in gambling is not winning, but knowing when to stop
Set a winning threshold: for example, if you enter with 200 lei and reach 600 lei, leave regardless of temptation.
Set a loss threshold: if you lose the maximum amount you allowed yourself to risk, leave immediately.
Play with your mind, not your emotions: the casino lives off 'just one more hand' or 'just one more spin'.

You cant leave a winner if you dont get up while you are ahead.

Its much easier to win over the short term than over the long term.

I completely agree that we must try to control our bankroll. If we lose $100, we should consider this loss as payment for a good time, for the excitement and for the hope of a big win. There is no need to try to win back what we lost; we should simply come back another day and try to win again. ;)

That's the best advice for gamblers, except that everyone knows it, yet never takes it seriously.
It's like knowing how bad cigarettes are for you, but quitting is not for everyone.

Still, your reminder is truly very nicely put.
I hope we can remember everything you said when we find ourselves in such situations.

I am glad about your response and the fact that you acknowledge what I said, even if people don’t take such advice seriously! I wish you steady winnings!

Yes! When you lose an amount that is not even that big, most players try to recover the loss and force the game by betting more! This is the big mistake most players make... You win after hitting a number in roulette, same with slots."

Yes! You need to train your willpower to leave the moment you have won. Or, switch to another slot machine or another roulette table!!!

My point is not really about changing machines, it is that the house has an edge and the longer you play the more likely you are to lose.

I completely agree. Those who know how to stop will always have an advantage and better results compared to players who don't stop. Those who don't stop end up with debts instead of enjoying the game.

Exactly. Changing machines or games will never change the mood you're in.
If you're ahead, leaving a winner is the best option.
But if you are down, you're emotionally affected, and playing something else will not make your mood any better, which can lead to more losses. Therefore, leaving is again the best option. There will always be games...

I absolutely agree with you. I have had many such experiences where I had a significant win initially and ended up going home broke (not only from Casino but also from other gambling areas in my native). I connected the root problem with drinking and promised myself not to drink when going to gamblers, and it did help me a lot (not enough to cover my losses, atleast there has been progress).

I agree. I don't see any winning opportunities in games of chance other than poker.
