No App, no card reader, no digital wallet - as a slots player, how does that sound to you? Las Vegas is expected to implement Acres Manufacturing's Universal Payment Adapter, which is a system that links the slot machine directly to the player's bank account all with a QR code.

Nevada gaming regulators approved the tech in August 2025, and the company aims to roll it out in multiple Las Vegas properties by early 2026.

No app, no card reader, no digital wallet. Just scan a QR code, authorize, and the money flows straight from your checking account to a gaming corporation.
So if there is no app then with what the QR scan is done?

We have a bit similar thing already in use. A customer needs to have an account with the gambling provider and a bank account made known to them. A player "logs in" to a slot machine and uses his payment card to deposit funds. Any winnings are returned to player's bank account.

That’s actually a pretty wild development. Convenient for sure, but also kind of scary if you think about it. Having your bank account directly connected to a slot machine feels like it removes one of the few barriers left between players and their money. No card, no wallet, no pause to think before depositing more, that could be dangerous for people who struggle with self-control.

On the other hand, it’s interesting to see how fast technology is changing the gambling world. From digital chips in poker rooms to QR-linked slots, it feels like casinos are moving toward a fully cashless experience. I just hope there’ll also be strong safeguards or spending limits in place, because instant access to your bank account could make a bad run even worse real quick.

I think they should also add diaper distributing devices beside every slot machine, that would be quite the upgrade!

Until then, I am not going!

I’m not comfortable with that idea. There’s no way I would link my bank account to a slot machine. In fact, I wouldn’t even link my bank account to a any casino.. there’s so much fraud going on in the world today.. technology has made it easier..

Now, that's really too much IMO. I think it's an EVIL idea. They're already sucking people's blood with those machines. And now they want to prey even more on the weak. Shame on whoever came up with this idea.

BAD idea, IMO. Too much instant gratification and not enough time to think about where your rent money is going to disappear to.

I can appreciate that some people can resist this and might appreciate the ease of playing, but this is going to only encourage more problem gambling.

Coming soon, payday loans? Seriously though, I am extremely reluctant to provide my banking info in general, other than for paychecks and a few recurring monthly bills.

Sounds very dangerous for those without set-control, drunk, taken drugs?

Surely this is going to lead to tragic results for people and ultimately not be good for the industry as potential law suits (by those claiming they were put at risk) and bad press result.

So with this new option available will people be able to only withdraw or also deposit directly from their bank account to those slot machines?

Casinos surely encourage overspending. This smells scammy and many fools will soon be parted from their money. :ROFLMAO:
