Fun and profit if possible . If you lose all the time it's no fun . The pursuit of profit can be very tilting , frustrating , not fun at all , make you hate casino games . So for me I have profits on my mind while I try to have fun , that's possible for me only on very low bet spins , in much higher bet limits it's very stressing , it can drive me crazy

If you take it more seriously than that, you become addicted and just chase the win, which turns the tide in favor of the casino.

Honestly - I don't keep coming back, if that implies heading to the casino on a frequent basis. We go maybe once every few months. We took a few years off during and post Covid. Had to get a new member card, which was king of nice because it came with a bunch of extra rewards to encourage us not to take such long breaks. So far I guess it worked since out visits are now spaced apart by months instead of years.
