What is the main reason you play at the casino?

People generally play in casinos mainly to win money (obtaining profit quickly and effortlessly) and for the thrill of the activity (adrenaline), but they can also seek fun, leisure, socialization/pastime (as a hobby), enjoy the benefits of some electronic games for physical fitness and motor coordination or simply to relieve the stress of the daily routine.

And for you: What is the main reason you play at the casino?

I've never joined a casino, but I think the main reason is to make profits, however, we know it's difficult. So, you have to keep in mind that the money that will be spent there can only be spent, with no return to the player. Or just for the thrill and experience of being in that place, lights, sounds, and adrenaline.

Of course, I want to win when I gamble at a casino, but the main reason is for the excitement. My wife and I have gone to Las Vegas almost every year since our son was old enough to stay with friends overnight. We assume that we will lose our entire gambling budget, but that is just part of our trip expenses. My wife does not play table games, except roulette, so we play slots together after dinner...during the day, we do not gamble...I play some poker when she goes to the spa. Sometimes I wander around watching others play, especially the high stakes that I could never play. It is fun seeing players bet over $1000 on a single hand of blackjack. I remember being at a table, when I was joined by an entire family (father, mother, son and daughter)...they had no clue how to play blackjack...it was a $5 table and they were each betting $1000 per hand, making the stupidest moves...it did not matter to them, but I got angry when one of them did something dumb and I lost my $5 bet because of it.

About a year ago I stoped to play Casino games. Only reason I stoped is , because of loses. Remember, slots are made to lose money. I played because , I saw these streamers in Twich, where they won big money, but you have to invest so much in slots, to win big.

Yes, my goal is always the same (to make money). But that doesn't stop me from enjoying the party atmosphere. I've only been in a live casino twice in my life. And no, I didn't win any money, but I was happy that I managed to relieve some stress after a busy work week.

Most of the time hitting a win in casino games gives you that rush, but I don’t really count poker in the same way. Poker for me is all about fun first and the money comes second. Casino games are just pure entertainment. It’s about the excitement and the “what if” feeling when you spin or play. Even when I win something small it just adds to the fun without being the main reason I play.

I used to go once a month, with my cousin. We would go for lunch and then play the slots. After our budget was spent we would leave. Of course unless one of us got lucky. Once she made over one thousand, and I made over six hundred. It was just for fun. We do not live close anymore. So I very rarely go to the casino.

I don't go that much to the casino anymore only because I now live more than 5 hours' drive from it and the COVID pandemic had me get used to play online.

When I used to go regularly, it was mainly to play poker. But whenever I had a free room, I would spend the 1st evening watching a show or a stand-up comedy (comps), have a nice dinner and sometimes play Blackjack for an hour or so before going to bed.
The following day, I'd be grinding.

The only reason I visit a casino is to play poker. If I win some... awesome. If I loose the bankroll... no problem. If a casino do not have poker games, I move to the next casino. As I learn more of the other casino games, perhaps I would visit casinos in the future to test the games.

You're right, there are a lot of things to spend your money on that are probably much more productive. Many are more social. Some are even healthy. Many cost less. So why go?

The glitz I guess, especially if there are also some high end shows to attend. Poker? I guess, but it's probably going to cost more than a lot of other things.

All of which kind of explains why I don't go much.

For fun mostly , but yeah I look forward to a big win always . I want to have a strict bankroll management , play only what I have decided to play before the session starts .

Also I expect a decent gameplay , that adds to excitement and fun . I really hate casinos or slots that give you all the time losses and rarely wins . This can't keep up ho on playing this slot or in this casinos . I have disabled my account in some such casinos .

If I pay , if I don't win , at least I expect to have fun . If you feel a house's rush to steal your money , if you feel that actual RTP might be ZERO , that's not fun , I guess even for a whale .....
