I always take a shower before a series of poker games. Yes, I can't sit down at the table while I'm feeling uncomfortable. Well, luck likes cleanliness. I don't use music or anything motivational while playing poker. I am always focused as money is the best motivation for me!

Personally, what helps me is a cup of coffee, closing all tabs, Telegram, etc., and putting on something wordless in the background like lo-fi or just rain sounds.
If I’m playing live, it’s a bit of a different vibe (especially if I’m into the atmosphere). In that case, the less distraction, the better. The main thing is not reading the news or arguing with anyone before the game, so my head stays clear and no random thoughts creep in.

I have to eat something before or while I eat, if I'm hungry while I play normally I play fatal, not that I play well, but I play worse than normal

Sleep helps me. I usually like to take an hour's nap before evening tournaments. It allows me to play better with more patience and focus. You should try it too, it's still free to take a nap

I try to sleep well , be fresh , relaxed before I play a poker game . Nothing else . Everything else is a routine when playing at the tables , same things , focus and try play the best you can

The only thing I need is a good night of sleep. I notice that on weekends I play better because I sleep better. On week days, there are many times that I fall asleep during a tournament..lol

The ability to focus on the game and not be distracted by extraneous irritants is one of the main skills in poker.I listen to music all the time, I find it very uncomfortable to play in silence. Before playing a poker tournament, I try to concentrate on doing other activities that have nothing to do with poker. I like to walk, talk, watch a good movie or do some physical exercise. If I think about the tournament I'm going to play, I get tense and very anxious, and when the tournament starts, I'm already very distracted. My concentration depends on not thinking about the tournament I'm going to play in advance. This helps me a lot with my logical reasoning during the game.

For me it helps to be calm when I play. If I get to worked up I make rash decisions that get me in trouble.
So after a work day when you have also finished a workout and it's time to just relax, suits me.
