In games, I usually talk personally, but I don't reveal my hands, I only comment on the game itself and random topics.

Probably stay quiet eventhough it´s never bad idea to keep an eye on chat cause sometimes players will make sure that the chat will be way more eventful than the actual game so ...

I play in two live games each week, they are hosted at pubs/bars near where I live and tend to be the sane faces each week. Therefore I know them all pretty well and have a fairly constant banter going on. If I was playing at a casino I would try restrain my talking to some degree as it tends to be a lot more regimental. So long story short I guess my answer is depends greatly on the environment and people you’re playing with.

Quiet - there’s always talkers at the table but I prefer EarPods and a good podcast

Geralmente fico quieto, mas às vezes uma conversinha na mesa torna o jogo mais divertido. Você gosta de bater papo ou prefere concentração total?
I'm generally quieter, I prefer to listen to music while playing

I only play online and prefer not to use the chat during games. I think staying focused is better for my play.

I only play in a long running home game with a bunch of old guys. We talk all the time. "Dumbass" is the most common word flung at an opponent who beat you when they held a bad hand and sucked out. Interestingly, the name "Dumbass" comes out of one of the stories told at the table. One of the guy's wives taught a kindergarten student with Downs Syndrome. She was a lovely little sweetheart, but when she had an issue with anyone, including the teacher, she would call them "Dumbass".
All the guys found the story funny and started using the term whenever another player ticked them off. All in jest.
After almost 20 years, there have only been a couple of real flareups between players.
