It has been heard about employees of commercial companies who lose money from their company in a short time by gambling.
Strangely, a person cheats millions only to lose them and become even more unhappy.
What is the biggest amount you have lost and then regretted ?

I lost $100 at roulette, then regretted playing, but then I won it back.It is an addiction that can easily be compared to drug addiction and alcoholism. Yes, poker or other gambling will not directly affect your health or shorten your life. I lost a $20 bill once. Fell right out of my pocket. I wish I had put it in my wallet instead of just in my pocket. Then it would have never fallen out.

I won $100 in the tournament and lost 3 minutes later in heads-up and I didn't open a single hand and then the stack just vanished.

I lost a solid amount of money on betting a few years ago (over $1000, that was bet on a tennis game), not on poker. Yeah, I remember when I first installed the PokerStars mobile App on my phone. So I wanted to play some freeroll, but I mixed up the tournaments and I paid $16 to participate in a satellite. And yes, I lost that buy-in.

E: Few years ago won 500.- in some competion - dont remember exactly but i should imagine i doubled it somehow since i eventually lost (over) 1k lol ...
Not sure how much i "regret" that since technically it wasn't my own money

All I lost were the costs that I could afford, so I don't regret it. I always follow bankroll management and it kept my nerves in a good state

The most I lost was betting $300 on a horse named Winning Colors. I bet it so I would win some money so I could afford to buy the wife a Mother's Day present. Boy, did that go downhill.

As for poker, for me it's a game that brings me money. But I lost a lot on slots. I've been playing slots for over 30 years and I'm scared to think how much money I've lost. My biggest loss in one evening was about 3 thousand dollars, and what's worse, 2 of them were not mine.

I think it's a small amount for many people, because I've even lost 5K in one day poker tournaments and it was bad

I lost 2000€ (5 buyins) in the past week. Not sure I "regret" it though, I think I've played pretty well. But that's the most I ever lost in one streak.

You 2 do seem to hate money

No clue how many other sites do offer such thing (and/or whether it includes poker) but for example in Unibet you can get 10% of your previous week losses back - so such promos are probably kinda decent when you have few hundred (or even thousands) to waste lol ...

Playing Micro Stake games on one site I played on, I managed to build a Bankroll of over £150, One night I came home after a few too many and registered for a 50 Pence game, only for me to find out once the game started I had miss-clicked and had entered a £50 game, Losing it quite rapidly, It taught me never to play drunk, and always stick to your own level, It took me Months to recoup that money back.
Other than that I don't recall having lost anything like that in any game of chance before, Even at a Race meeting I could lose £100 on the Horse Racing but as I had already been prepared for that I don't consider it that much of a problem.
I always take two separate amounts of cash with me to a race course, one for the Drinks and meals, the other for the Gambling and as I always say "Once it's Gone, It's Gone" I am never tempted to chase my losses no matter how much I lose, and that applies to casinos as well.
Having a Gambling budget before you go to have some fun is sensible and you never go totally broke, It's simple Bankroll Management and it works for me.

Tournaments are $100 or $150 dollars in Vegas last time I went. Only cashed in 1 out of 3. But lasted a while in the other so no instant losses. Unless you count the 4,5 suited I folded pre-flop that would have made a straight flush where the casino had a spot prize of $500 for making a straight flush using both cards. That hurt!
