Hello players,
In my opinion, beginners should start with a tight-aggressive (TAG) style:
Play fewer hands
Bet strong when you have good cards
Avoid tricky situations
It’s easier to learn and reduces big mistakes.
Do you agree or prefer a loose style?

The only thing I regret is that at the beginning I learned to play strictly based on my cards. When I started bluffing, I realized how much better my results became. So whatever playing style you choose, learn to incorporate bluffing into it — it will help you achieve better results.

I completely agree with your point of view. A beginner should definitely play tight, because for them, poker isn't a mind game or a battle of ranges, but a simple solitaire game—get the best hand, bet big. Therefore, it's in their best interest for their solitaire to have the best possible cards, without random 83s, because it's beautiful and they want to play.

Yes, I agree!!! Play with strong combinations and only use bluff when the opponent rarely comes into play

In my opinion i would have new players play tight. Those hands are so much easier to play when 1st starting. We should never tell newbies to play loose as why would we want them to play borderline hand types? OK to win there chips is a good reason.

I have been playing for more than two years, however I consider myself a beginner. I think it is advisable to be somewhat conservative, to expect good hands, to bet when you are sure. You need to be careful with stairs, colors and trills etc.

I believe that by playing fewer hands (only the strong ones), you make fewer mistakes, and you almost always start with a pre-flop advantage. This greatly simplifies decisions on the flop, turn, and river.

When I was a beginner, I was very lucky in the first few days and thought I was playing well, then I started to get unlucky after a while and had to rethink everything. I think that it depends on several factors which style is better for someone. I think experience means a lot more than theory.

I love @Mag_P1e ’s comment about beginners playing solitaire. It's so true! When I started, I wasn't playing against people, I was just playing against my own luck.
I think "Tight" is better because it keeps you from losing your whole bankroll while you're still trying to figure out if a flush beats a straight.
Once you stop accidentally "donking" your chips away, then you can worry about being the next Phil Ivey! ;)

When you are first getting started, discipline is far more important than size. I also strongly advise using a tight aggressive strategy if you are new to the game. When you play fewer hands, you must do so with assurance and intention.

You take advantage of opportunities when they arise, protect your pile and avoid low quality spots. Even if it might not seem flashy or thrilling, it is reliable and productive. Discipline and patience are essential since a little bankroll might vanish rapidly if you are reckless or impatient. Concentrate on having firm hands, play them strong, and avoid being pulled into pointless risks or emotional decisions.

You will gradually gain confidence, sharpen your intuition and witness tangible improvement. Stay consistent, keep learning, and let smart decisions steadily grow your bankroll.

A beginner should play conservatively and very cautiously until they gain enough experience to vary their strategy with bolder plays. Furthermore, they should study extensively to improve their skills, aiming to participate in tournaments and seek profits.

Playing tight is easier. In order to play tight you just need to know and understand the basics of the game, and play with discipline. Playing loose requires much more knowledge and experience than it might seem at first glance.

It’s not just about beginners!
Later on if you go on to become a pro then it’s this same strategy of playing tight which will guarantee you more success!

I agree with a tighter style of play to start. Mostly because it gives you a range advantage (or at least a perceived one), but especially because it cuts your losses when you do get involved. If you play more hands, then you have potential to win or lose much more. When you're a beginner, then you are more likely to lose more, so it's better to play tighter and observe more while only playing the stronger spots you believe in; this gives you experience without as much chance of losing big early on. You can adapt to more optimal strategies once comfortable and you improve more.

Totally agree…playing tight gives you the time to find that premium starting hand…if you play too loosely, you reduce your chips on speculative hands, so when that big hand comes, you don’t have enough chips to make a substantial move up.

Tight is better for everyone.
Tight agressive.
Loose are only good when table fold anything everytime.
You must study ranges and know when to be agressive, but being tight is definitely the most smart way to play.
God bless

I agree thight-aggressive is the most suitable style, but it s not easy to follow through. Often happens that you become too tight, or too loose, depending at how the hands play out

A beginner in the game should play only with good top pairs and combinations, without giving the opponent the opportunity to simply see the turn and river.💵
