I recently noticed that I get goofy as a poker player and start seriously gambling (playing loose aggressive) after few tournaments have not gone my way.. what about you guys..?

Yeah, I have the same problem... I get pissed at the concept of getting unlucky and start playing loose as if to test my luck to the limits. Then I realize how stupid I'm behaving, chastise myself for gambling, and take a break for a couple of days. Usually helps :)

You need discipline and experience to know when bad beats are affecting you from making the best poker decision. You can work on the mental training such searching Gripsed\ Mental Poker Training on Youtube.

I have been experiencing the same thing lately and struggling to find a way to get out of the rut. I wish I could walk away easily until I am in a better headspace. Looking forward to any suggestions that may come out of this thread! Or if nothing else, knowing I'm not the only one lol.

I can easily control my emotions. Poker for me is primarily fun, and my main goal is to have a good time. I am a disciplined player and always follow bankroll management. Thanks to this, I clearly control my expenses and I am always in a good mood, regardless of the result.

days ago I went into a losing streak with KK or AA in hand. They pay you with any card and you win these fish. I am too angry. Studying and playing well is useless with these fish.

I think that lack of discipline is a common problem for all amateur players, I myself am one and there is nothing I can do about it.:)

The vast majority of the time it is difficult to control yourself and stop, it is necessary to work on your mental and emotional state to face the variance and the bad streaks that we have. The most important thing is to enjoy the game regardless of the outcome. When you enjoy what you do you have good vibes and nothing will affect your emotional state and your mind better assimilates any bad situation that comes your way.

I try to control myself in such moments, but it doesn't always work! You need to train your discipline, but I rarely succeed! Every time I try to stop myself, but it doesn't always work! Good luck at the tables!

By understanding that this is the very moment which defines whom the great players are!

Anyone can play well while running good.

Playing well while running bad is the true challenge. ;)

This is very common.

Work on your self control.
If you understand the math of the game and you were correct in your action, you know that this is a normal game situation.

I think you should have a range of hands in mind when you're playing no limit holdem. Having a group of hands by position in mind makes it harder to make mistakes lol:);):D

I follow bankroll management and that's why I never have such emotions. All the emotions I get from the game are only positive and so the game just gives me pleasure.

When I see that I am playing badly, I close the tables and take a break from the game.

I don't even know what to answer. Maybe this is what I had in the early stages when I first started playing poker. It seems to me that keeping yourself in hand is one of their main requirements for playing plus poker. My advice is to temporarily stop playing poker and devote this time to reading new poker trends for you and analyzing hands to identify mistakes.

At the beginning of my poker game at the cash tables, I also tried my best to win something and thus often came to the flop, which eventually led to the loss of money. I tried to flop a low pair and take the pot from the raiser. In the end, it just led to losses. Now I control myself from the temptation to often look at the flop.

Hi.
For me, poker is fun after a hard day's work. And the priority for me is the fun of the game, not money.
Good luck.

Hard to stop gambling, it's exciting and addicting, the odds of winning pots in poker are frequent enough to keep you coming back.

Online gambling addiction can be more difficult to overcome than casino gambling addiction. Computers are readily available and gambling websites allow you to play with your credit cards and bank account information. Online gambling debts pile up quickly before you realize how much you have spent. You can get help to stop gambling online as it is almost impossible to do it on your own. It takes willpower to stop all this.
