To win as a poker beginner, play tight and only participate in good hands (such as A-A, K-K, Q-Q, A-K). Be aggressive with your strong hands by raising rather than calling. Don't bluff too much at first, and concentrate on simple decisions. Watch other players to adjust your game and learn to manage your bankroll by playing at low stakes. Stay calm and avoid playing out of frustration (tilt).
