Sometimes your instincts tell you one thing, but the math suggests another decision.

Do you rely more on your reads or on the numbers when making tough decisions?

It really depends who I'm playing up against. If I'm playing with a beginner, they might have more poker reads. Then I'll pay attention to the range of hands they play, the bet size. If it's a professional poker player, they might have a lot less tells and play a more balanced range to be less predictable. I find you need to adjust depending on who your opponent is.

I try to mix it up, if you try to play perfect GTO a good player will be able to use it against you, so it depends on the table and your stack size in my opinion.

I trust to my read first of all, then I can use my math, and of course sometimes I trust to GTO Wizard, and anothers tools.

Math is for robots! If I’ve been sitting with a guy for four hours and I notice his hands start shaking every time he has a monster, I’m folding my top pair regardless of the 'optimal' frequency.
