I think he meant the word insane.
In response to the question: It can be a long to way to learn and accept that each hand lasts as it lasts, when the next one comes, you have to focus on that.
Over time, you realize that there's no point in lamenting the past, because it only drives you crazy.

I pressume you mean some kind of "cooler" or "bad beat".
I must say I do not understand lamenting about it. Of course, it is nothing nice, but I find it pretty normal. From time to time the opponent just hits this 1 out on the river. Let it be 2% or something = it just means it happens once per every 50 hands. I play online poker, 300 hands per hour, it just MUST happen from time to time. I might swear to myself and I just go on, playing my normal game.

I take a few seconds to breathe, reset my mind, and remind myself that one hand doesn’t define the session. Stepping back, refocusing on the strategy, and controlling emotions keeps me sharp for the next decision.

I just forget about the hand and move to the next one. But I do get back to that hand after finishing a session.

I think a tasteful food and a good music makes the best combination to distress you after a intense hand (specially after a bad decision).

I usually just take my keyboard, smash it, and then throw the laptop against the wall so I can have a nice few hours buying new ones.

:ROFLMAO:

Can you explain what intense hand means?

I get off the screen and play with my sons only after a Negative Intense Hand!
Your time bank may get utilised for a few seconds but I personally feel that’s absolutely fine and helps you reset!
If the intense hand goes positively in your favour then do not get up from that chair and just keep on crushing! 🤭

I never spend more than my limit, so whatever the outcome, I don't get irritated or worried. But sometimes there are really stressful days, and in such difficult times, a walk in the fresh air helps me the most.

Daniel Negreanu used to recommend slow breathing exercises to reset yourself at the table and also giving yourself something else to focus on which you can control, such as trying to remain focused on live reads, or guessing someone's hole cards etc. It's something helpful for poker, but really just something to occupy your mind, so you aren't ruminating about variance you can't control.
