I get up, take a deep breath, and try not to remember the bad decisions I made. :)

I just follow bankroll management, play disciplined, and don't pay attention to temporary setbacks. That's why I just don't have tilt. And probably that's why the game always brings me pleasure. :)

Take a deep breath, understand that the worst thing you can do is to let this effect your game.

You need to remember poker is a long term game. If you allow yourself to tilt you can and possible will lose more. I have gotten pretty good at controlling my tilt but it took years. When I play poker I listed to meditation music, why is keeps me calm and in a good place. Listening to music that makes you happy, sad or angry can affect you when you get bad beaten. I have also started to meditate every day and many time just before I play poker. Why? It puts my mind into a good place before I start. If you start out in the wrong mood you will be more likely to go on tilt.

Just take into account that tilt is part of poker.

Mostly with drugs... nicotine, alcohol, cannabis... and a little break from the game after bad beats so I don't stack off the very next hand.

Focus and patience . That’s the key. Don’t rush your game , and just don’t focus on winning the tournament , keep your expectiions low to reach the money game and the next pay

Now is much better. A few years ago I had many tilts. Especially when I drank beer or two. Today I control everything better.

When someone learns how let me know! I have THE WORST tilt sometimes. Especially when I'm running relatively deep in a tourney. My favorite quote about winning tourneys is "you have to win your all ins". The sad truth of it is if you follow anyone that even places in the top 10% of a field....if you went over all of their hand history they got EXTREMELY lucky a few times. It's just the nature of the beast.

is knowing that bad beat happens, and it happens to everyone, so tilt shouldn't get in the way

I remain calm, if I am unlucky in this tournament, then I will definitely be lucky in another) Well, if I'm on a tilt, then it's just time to close the poker room for a couple of days)

I'm still an amateur in poker. But nevertheless, I think that there should be a certain tactics of playing the game against each opponent. There is no universal recipe. However, the chosen strategy must be fully maintained. And then you can achieve success.

This is something I haven't learned to control yet, I often ended my tournament because of tilt, losing to 1 out on the river, it's not easy to control, but at least I don't lose more than I already invested at the moment. There was once a time when I easily threw away my entire bankroll in a moment of loss of control, these days I can simply close the looby and shut down the PC.

I need to work on that. Before I would go bust after a cooler but know I am learning to use ICM and wait for the best pop to pop all in.

Over the past 4-5 years, I have played a ton of play chip poker on Poker Stars (we Americans have been banned from real money play there since 2011).

When I began this journey, I tilted more than most, and I tilted harder than most. I would become very emotional over bad beats and coolers.

Fast forward to today, I'm a much different player in terms of tilting, in fact I can't even imagine getting upset over a beat anymore. These days, I'm able to take it all in stride, I fully understand the risk in every hand I play (if all the chips go into the middle), and there's really no emotions at all. Oh sure, I get happy if I make a deep run or win a big hand, I'm a human being and not a robot. :) I just don't let it affect the rest of my life.

So what was my secret? Just playing hands, and playing millions of them. I went from 11 Million play chips when I started (I had earned those prior to 2011 and they were still in my account when we were allowed back onto Stars sometime around 2016) and today I sit at the very top rung on the play chip ladder, I play in the highest stakes tournaments they offer and currently my bankroll sits at almost 78 Billion chips. There's no leaderboard but I'm quite certain there are less than 100 players with more chips on the site. But my point isn't to brag but to show you how many hands of poker I've played. Literally a million hands of tournament poker, and THAT is what eliminated my tilt and my negative emotions. I've won a lot on Stars, but I've also lost a lot. :D Tournament players lose 8 out of every 10 events we enter... we will lose 80% of the time, and for good players, the typical ending is a bad beat or a big cooler. That is almost always how good players exit a tournament, it's just a fact of life... and by putting myself into those situations almost every day for the past 5 years, I can honestly say I've seen it all, there isn't a surprise left in this game. And THAT is how you conquer tilt. There's no easy route if your prone to tilting, just play a million hands and you'll eventually realize that even if you lose today, tomorrow is another day and another chance for us to get it right and win the tournament. But always remember, 80% of the time we're gonna lose in "gut-wrenching" fashion... and that's okay! It's just part of the life of an MTT "pro" (I'm a play chip pro hahaha). Good luck but if your luck is bad, don't fret about it, get right back on the horse that threw ya!! Best wishes.

The tilt state usually comes with a down swing and it’s pretty hard to grasp when the unfortunate hands come in series. It's a good idea to get off the table at this time, even if it's a tournament. If the other player sees the tilt, all you have to do is wait for a good hand and be knocked out of the game (of course, if someone doesn't do it for you by then).

Simple, realise that tilting won't help you in anyway it only helps the other people at your table, so try avoiding tilting if you do tilt it's something you have to work on untill you stop doing in.

If you can't stop tilting maybe take a break for awhile and comeback it's really the only way.
