I just smile and stay calm, but sometimes it's hard not to react. How do you handle rude or talkative opponents?

It's truly hard to stay away from trash talkers, but I've learned to not engage. 🚮 If they went out of line and there's a report button, it's best to used it.🔥 Or better yet, block them! 🚧

to deal with poker trash talkers, focus on your own game by staying calm, not engaging, and using strategic responses like ignoring them or using humor. You can also try to get inside their head by playing in a way that counters their aggression, such as by calling down wider or playing more passively with strong hands to punish them for over-bluffing. Avoid getting drawn into an argument or revealing your strategy, as the goal is to win at poker, not to win the argument

The most effective weapon is a smile.
Just smile, that's all you need, you can't fight these people any better. And not because the goal is to anger them and force them to make bad decisions, but because there is no more effective solution against them.

I deal with players who swear differently, depending on the context: I can ignore them, mute them, complain to support, or disable the game chat.

Trash talking is part of live play which I find entertaining, I don’t do it, I’m usually quiet at the tables.

I have learned to just ignore the trash talk. Most of the time I am not even looking in the chat box. It makes me unable to concentrate. That is mostly what the trash talk is meant for. :plol. I play for fun and to pass time, but I try and focus on the cards dealt and my game. :D
