How to play small pairs

There are two basic strategies to play them before the flop call, or raise.
The advantage of making a climb is that will reduce the number of players who go to the flop. Even if you're alone with an opponent, you have two overcards to your partner, which takes away many options on the flop. If your opponent does not bind on the flop, this strategy works, but are you willing to bet your chips for it?
The bet with small pairs in these positions also has its disadvantages, the most obvious is that you will most likely find with a rise of one of the players left to act. Although it depends on the size of the rise, it is almost always correct her. If climbing is in late position, it may be an attempt to steal the blinds, and you've already invested chips in the pot so unless the increase is greater than 3 times the big blind, it will be worth putting more tabs to link your trio (which happen once in 8).

I'm with small pairs act differently. It depends on the raise put before me. Most of all, I just throw in allyn.

I think it's worth investing some chips in these small pairs, as the villains put us in a higher range ( AK-AQ-AJ,etc ).
And if we could connect our set, get much value from these hands, if we do not simply invest no more. Depending on the flop and players.

Some people just have no clue when they're showing their ass. It's just their way of saying, "Hey! look at me! I'm ignorant, and you probably shouldn't pay me any mind!"

And I'm sure any number of the women here that play poker (including our site admin: dakota-xx) could probably handle their own just fine against this guy at the table.

There is not a basic concept to play with small pairs, you have to establish a range of hands for a given tournament, players, game pos floop, c bet, everything is determined as the tournament evolves ....

Nothing is better than beating an AA or AK with a small pair , getting the third card with the flop

If everybody fold before the flop, then certainly the cost to enter with a raise in 2, 2.5 big blinds, if there's already a limp or a raise, then press call )

I like to open raise and occasionally cbet heads up. Just have to be careful to not continue too far.

Check, or call if you are in a late position. How much is in the pot and how much will it cost you to play? The odds of making a set are about 8/1.

If I am opening I will raise 2.5x my usual OR size, if I see a 3bet then I will use call 20 against a tight player or call 15 against a loose player. If facing a bet I will just call hoping to hit my set.

Questions like this have the same answer, well almost

but roughly 80% same answer, it all depends on your opponent position, player tendencies, chip stacks, and format of the game u r playing, when u play a table say an hour, u would bring decisions a lot faster coz u already have all that info in your hand, and if u pay enough attention on what going on your table u would know if your small pocket pair is good or not to put your chips all in

Some players push all in. It's very risky.. some players play it care fully. If You don't take the Set on the flop, It's hard to make a strong hand. I usually call or check with small pairs. In case of bigger raise, quick fold. Simple.
