How to put someone on a range in particular position?

I'm using Pokertracker, and I know you can use VPIP/PFR by position, but I find these are very difficult to build a sample with. If I know my opponent is 23/18 overall, is there a way to figure out what his range would generally be in a particular position without detailed stats such as this?

Yes, with experience.

Eventually you will notice that most players with 23/18 raise something like 12/15/20/30 per position (just an example) and this is a pretty normal distribution.

Yeh that's I've been assuming for the most part. Like a Tag raising 10% or so UTG.

Depends if FR or 6max (FR is tighter in EP because more players behind) but yeah.
