The two positions aren't comparable in the way you compare the button to the cutoff. One similarity, though, is that when it's your turn preflop, usually you have the best idea of everyone at the table what your pot odds are. Otherwise, the button is the first position that you should be playing comfortably, and the small blind is probably the last.

SB - heavely depends on people in the pot, is it blind defence(Ax....) or value(89s,QKo,22...) bet wil difference the cards you play. So if you can raise Ax in SBvsBB battle,the same will not go for a pot with 4 limpers or/and 3betters. On SB you are either trying to steal bb or see the flop for cheap. so any raise from SB indicates strong hand... as it should.
BU - is the widest basicaly. Any suited Ax, pairs and broadways go, but again be mindfull

On button I would play a wider range of cards , dependingly on the number of opponents , the odds given , it's a great chance to semibluff some hands or bluff some boards texture .I would play on button suited connectors, gappers , pairs , etc , the exact range depends . But on small blind only to steal from big blind with many hands , against others very short range as I would be out of position

It depends on your opponents and their stack sizes. You play with a wider range on the button than anywhere else on the table, so you can expect your opponents to open on the button with a wider range. Be careful trying to steal the blinds from the smaller stacks, because they will often ship it in against you when they've got anything good.

Not necessarily how it should be, but my button opening range is:

{22+, Ax+, Axs+, Kxs+, 54s+, 64s+, 74s+, 87o+, Any two broadway cards}

Of course that'll get modified based on blind tendencies. From the small blind you need to be tighter, because you're playing the whole hand out of position. You need to rely on strong intrinsic value of the cards to help you overcome your positional disadvantage.

My goal is to play a similar range to my UTG or MP range, however in my opinion I tend to be too loose from the SB.

depends on how many big blinds you have
so
from maths
button <4BB, play ATC , limp , raise , all in is both find.
SB<2BB, call or all in ATC, regardless of action.

if stacks are bigger , depends on EV is positive, play, not positive fold.
