How you label someone on PS and is that useful?

I always forget to label people, but usually I use HUD so it helps a lot, have you tried any HUD?

No. I never use software to play. I just try to analyze them who they are and it's no so wrong. but my fault is have no patience. try to happen something faster =))

I started labeling people playing in the League. So far I have groups of 'trolls' - insulting everyone at the table for no reason, 'fish' - going all in from every position with every hand, 'slowplayers' - taking forever with every decision and a couple other variations of these depending on how much I was annoyed by another player. I think if you stick to one type of tournament and play frequently than there is a chance you might come across certain people more than once. I haven't had any advantage from labeling people yet though, but let's see.

Tag-tight aggressive.
Lag is loose aggressive.
Tp is tightly passive.
Lp is loose passive.
F-fish.
Reg-regular.
B-Bluffs a lot.

Think the color coding is most useful where you can table select. I like to mark players as reg, reg short stacker, station fish, aggro fish, tight, good, and whale.
Then when you go through the lobby its easier to find good tables.

I also tried the Jivaro free trial for a month, but it was nothing for me.
I do label people though, i use the green for donks, the red for tight and the other colors depend on how the person is playing.

One essential thing about this though is that PATIENCE is of the essence here

So no patience no progress

The easiest way is to use software, it keeps track of so many different informations, it helps a lot, I only use their free period, I don't pay because is too expensive, I totally recommend it!

I used to label and use a HUD but it would actually distract me too much sometimes from making the right decision if I labelled too quickly and over-generalised, and I couldn't be bothered writing and reading and keeping track of random notes everywhere, especially when on different PCs.

Be careful of the players that deliberately make themselves looks fishy just to set you up.

In early stages when it blinds are low is the best way to make yourself look like your fishy, then people don't give you respect when you have a big starting hand.

what does the HUD do that you don't need to label? Which hud do you use?

quick way to label is double click the name and type the label there. I do it all the time. A few times the player has been put on my table that has a tag. It has helped a bit.

I label all the regs and have separate tags for mtts and cash. Also when somebody does something interesting I will note it as well as tag. Like when I shove something with 10-20 blinds and get called loosely I will note exactly what happened.

In the left corner of the screen there is a notes,represent a different color and inscription.Sometimes used,just wrote fish.

I use the copilot software, it labels people automatically after a few hands played, it keeps track of all different informations, it has a 30 days free trial period, try to use it and tell us your experience

I use partly the color coding, especially blue for the fishes. Red for agressive players.
And i use Poker Tracker as well, that writes auto notes additionaly.
