Hello all,
Position at the table makes a big difference. Playing in late position gives more information and better control of the pot.
I try to play more hands when I am on the button or cutoff.
Do you pay attention to position when choosing hands?

One of the most fundamental concepts in poker strategy is position. Playing in late position allows you to gather more information before making decisions. In my experience, widening opening ranges from the button can significantly increase long-term profitability. How wide do you typically open from the button in cash games?

Position is everything in poker — yet many players underestimate its true power.
Playing in late position gives you more information before making a decision. You see how your opponents act, you control the pot size more effectively, and you can apply pressure at the right moments.
In my experience, simply tightening up in early position and widening my range on the button significantly improved my win rate.
What adjustments did you make that improved your results the most?

One concept that many beginners underestimate is the importance of position at the poker table.
Being in a late position allows you to see what other players do before making your decision. This information can be extremely valuable and can help you make better plays.
Players in early position must be much more careful because they have less information. That’s why strong players usually play tighter when they are first to act.
Learning to use position correctly can significantly improve your results over time.
Do you pay a lot of attention to position when you play?

Check your win rate in your tracker. I guarantee your 'Big Blinds per 100 hands' is way higher on the Button than in any other seat. You can literally play 'trash' hands in position and still make a profit against weak players

For everyone who is starting in poker, there is a lot of discussion about the combos that can be formed or about the strongest starting hands to play, but very little is said about table position, and many beginners do not see its real importance or do not give it the attention it deserves.

Being in a good position at the table means that we will act last, which gives us clues about what possible cards our opponents might have. We know, for example, that having a pair in hand is a good starting hand. However, if we are on the button and some opponents enter the pot with an open raise, 3-bet, 4-bet, or shove, we may consider that lower pocket pairs might not be strong enough to play in that particular hand.

Position also allows us to play weaker hands. If we are closer to the end of the table and the action reaches us with folds, it allows us to open with some hands that we normally would not open with an open raise. Sometimes we can win the hand right at that moment, or we can remain in position to play post-flop. Since approximately 67% of the time we do not hit either of our cards on the flop, being in position often means that our c-bet will get through, allowing us to win the pot without even needing to hit any combo.

It's important the position at the tables, but sincerly I forgot all the things about position.
I am interesed as well to know more about position at the tables, and how it's works, and would be happy if anyone from the cummunity will expain step by step, because i'll take a look, and would be good to know from a book or any good information about position.
If you're act last, then you're on good position ? anyway you should know from what position to use for 3BB, 4BB, and it's helpful to do right movements at the tables.

Right movements at the tables from a good position its profitable at distance, and is looking great when you knock out a player.

The amazing part is almost everyone in the forum says position is important, but come CC game time they are sitter limping like it was their job.

When you open limp you are doing the opposite of playing in position, you are trying to play a bad hand, out of position, with no initiative.

Position is literally the most profitable asset in the game because acting last gives you all the information while your opponents are flying blind and guessing your ranges. When you are in position you can control the pot size and realize your equity much more effectively, which is why your win rate from the button is usually ten times higher than it is from the blinds where you are constantly leaking chips. If you aren't playing a wider range from the cutoff and button while tightening up significantly in early position you are just leaving money on the table for the regulars to scoop up every single session.
