I'm not sure it's one of the three basic rules, as I'm new to the game, but feel one of them could be - Keep your feet grounded - I just learnt the hard way. Had my best day yesterday and couldn't wait to play today, went in thinking I was a good player and made and took risks I knew I shouldn't have. I got burnt and am back to earth with a bump. Lesson learnt. Keep my mind in check, think of everything, and don't presume or guess.

Do not hurry, you do not know that the opponent
call or raise after the flop
All in, when you're 100% sure

game on bankroll; patience; always calculate each of your actions mathematically; making a decision on the flop, think what you will do on the turn!

hand, position, the number of chips, see the flop, the ability to lure an opponent if the hand is cool (do not rush, put 3 BB and all set, then raise and all in), learn the oponent ie psychology, the ability to wait until the aggressive player who puts everything All-in time is gone, it's all about analyzing every situation and the ability to wait and endure, the very last thing

Once I read a very good article about trash hands, it was very interesting to learn the moments in which the trash hands have a bit of preflop value, sometimes you have to take the risk but the position of the table depends a lot, all the players of poker we have beaten a high pair with a trash hand and we have won the hand, as soon as I have the information about the article that talks about trash hands, I will share it here in the forum

Nice thread.

1. Only risk what you can afford to lose.

2. Know your limits and limitarions.

3. Manage bankroll. It's yours, take care of it.

Experiment

Bankroll management is important, the common rule being, one should have 100 buy-ins for the game you're playing. I suggest explore different levels and styles of the game, you may be surprised where you excel at and where you struggle. Play the game you can beat and when that gets old challenge yourself with taking some stabs at a higher level, style, or both. Don't be discouraged when you try and fail. Learn from it and implement another strategy. Review your hands look for your own leaks and work on correcting them. Playing online can be a lot hard to keep focused on the game, it will take some effort to keep your focus at times. Adding another table or taking notes can help to keep your mind on the game. Goodluck
