Mathematically speaking JJ has a slight edge.
But I will always prefer AQ over JJ cause you know what they say...there are 3 possible ways to play Jacks and all of them are wrong

jacks are slightly better heads up but rest assured anytime you are all-in with jacks, the other dude will flop a queen or you will be rivered by the ace.

I think JJ is much better because you have ready hand and AQ you must collect the combination

they're controversial hands so you have to figure out how to deal with them and in what situations each of these hands is stronger before the flop JJ's hand is stronger than AQ but after the flop everything may change so AQ needs to see the flop if she does it for a small sum then JJ is already afraid of the flop even if K falls out and you play more carefully and AQ can take advantage of it so you have to be able to play with both cards

Mathematically JJ is better than AQ this is before the flop, But after the flop everything may change, I preferer JJ all in hand.

A pair of jacks is better for me. I don't like AQ.
But if the choice was between JJ and AK, I can confidently say that I would choose AK.
