Playing AAxx PLO 6 Handed

I have recently started playing more PLO, switching over from NLH (Cash Games). DO you think its better to 3-4 bet with AAxx (preferably suited) or considering your other 2 cards RR or CALL a 3 bet and see what happens on the flop?

This really depends on position, stack sizes, suits, and side cards. Generally, if you can get a third of the effective stacks in pre-flop, heads up, you should do it with any AAxx. If stacks are too deep for that to happen, you really need to consider what quality AAxx hand you have. If you are likely to see the flop multiway, that doesn't mean you won't want to get the money in pre-flop (double suited aces are a money favorite even 5 way), just be prepared to lose most of the time.

Anyway, this question is way more involved than hold'em. It is so situational, that there are AAxx hands where I flat against some villians in some spots, but I would 3-bet against others.

AAxx is too wide to lump all possible hands together and play them the same. You have to consider the connectivity of your hand. A hand like AA94 one suit, I would flat a raise or limp call. But a hand like AA107 double suited would be a 3bet or 4bet for me. It also depends on your style of play.

I think this really depends on the game.

How wild is it ?
How many people will call your bet ?
Would someone reraise your 3 bet ?
What is your position ? Are you on the button or under the gun ?

If you can't get the hand almost heads-up, or get most of the money in preflop, I don't think it is worth raising.

Also understand that there is a massive difference between AA and AA suited, and the best AA double suited. In my experience AA10X double suited is the best.You can't make a straight without a 10 or a 5 so these are pivotal cards. If you have a 10, it's one less available to the field, so it improves your chances.

It is hard to really give solid opinions in PLO when you start talking xx. There is a huge difference between 48 and J10. Once you miss your set it is so hard to improve AA and if you aren't suited or have other cards that work together you are in bad shape. PLO is a very draw heavy game that one pair rarely wins. If you try to play AA in PLO like you do in holdem, it would cost you a lot of money.

Everyone plays differently and has their own ideas. Also not all situations are same might have different kind of players and different kind of reads from session to session.

My general rule is if I can stick more than 60% of my remaining stack in the middle with a pot bet I go for it other than that I flat does not matter position. If oop on the flop you got to be willing to donk bet/jam good flops very often.The powerful straight/flush hands that players look to crack AA are more likely to call in position and fold oop so you would play a number of flops oop.
