Should I play a low pocket pair such as 22?

Several times I've already touched the 22nd, but I always doubt whether to enter or not with that pair. It's very complex isn't it? And I take it as a terrible couple, although sometimes I have done well playing subtly with 22 and the flop comes out 2. What do you think?

the probability of getting a set with a pocket pair on the flop is 12% or 1 to 8. But the event that a lot of poker players are afraid of is getting a set on the flop against a set stronger in any case, these are bad cards and it is not recommended in any preflop table to raise hands with 2 2 and even more so to make a re-raise

You can try to play such a hand after 3 bets, but if you know for sure that a tight player or a fish is against you.

This is just my opinion. But in most positions this hand is not very playable.

As most of the situations on poker, you playing or not playing deuces depends on lots of variables (position, stack sizes, oponents profile, stage of the tournament)

In general, with lower pocket pairs, you don't want to build a huge pot pre flop and try to flop a set (set mining) for a low prize

Pocket pairs are tempting to me.
But in turn, as friend Vardan says, they are a headache.
Depending on the situation in which I find myself in the tournament, many times I enter with 22.
It's still the least low hand in pocket pairs, but as I told you, if you set up a three of a kind at tables where high pair or two pairs are prioritized, it's a very good hand to double down on.
BUT ALWAYS PLAY THEM WITH PRUDENCE.
greetings friend:):):)

Greetings
you're right, "with caution" is the most appropriate word for these combinations, and of course this does not mean that they should always be reset, there are different situations

It goes from the day, I already won with 22 and I also lost, as I stopped winning, in the PS it's more common a three of a kind or four of a kind, it goes from my madness

It will depend a lot on the place, the position and the bet, it's definitely not a strong hand, but if you connect a 2 you can surprise.

You always should play 22 and if you win the hand say quack quack as you show your cards. RIP X-22

22 for me just isnt trustable, but of course you can play them. Sometimes building a big pot with 22 can be dangerous...

Of course, just don’t play it super aggressive. Baby pairs have a ton of equity preflop and when you hit sets with them your oponente rarely expects it

in cash game if you are on the BB and you complete it's ok, but if you open from early/middle position you're asking for trouble.

This all depends on the situation, What position you are in? have there been any raiser's before it is your turn to act? have you invested any money before betting starts like being on the BB/SB?
Personally I find them a problem hand to begin with, because even if you are lucky enough to hit three of a kind on the flop, there is also the possibility that someone else involved in the hand are also playing a pocket pair and has also hit a bigger set.
So my advice is not to play them if you are not already in the hand, and ignore the flop turn and river completely, because the last thing you want to see is that could have made Quads on the flop, as I always start to think could have, should have, would have, and that is no good for my tilt factor.

In general, you will always play this pocket for three of a kind, we shouldn't open them from early position, only late position.

I play 22 only in button, cutoff or highjack positions. Or when it comes to limp and I limp as well, and when there is a raise and I am the BB, I call the bet. Outside of that, it's just fold.

If you expect to see a set on the flop it will be once out of 8 times so I think you should play once out of eight or call the pot with a small amount of 2 bb and throw everything else away
