If everyone folds the winner sometimes does show his hand and sometimes he does not. When does it make sense to show the hand and what would be the reason to do so? When is it better to not show the hands? I usually never show my cards even though I won.. I dont want my opponents know my playing behavier.

I reveal sometimes when I'm in good mood and villain shows his hand before folding. Or I gathered something like four of aces or straight-flush.

I am much the same as you, I like to give as little info as possible. Sometimes (very Rare) I will show to be misleading of how I play or to gain trust of another player, Kinda like a hey look I'm not going to bluff you type thing.

I never show my cards, but strongly encourage others to show theirs. I had a guy show his pocket Aces (in Omaha) that he folded against a bigger bet on a flop with an Ace. I have no idea why he folded, and then made a point of showing me what a terrible player he was. Needless to say, I made a note about him for future profit-taking.

I very rarely show my cards. I think I have done it once all year. Only reason I will show a hand is if I think showing will mislead a player on my future play AND it will cause them to tilt.

I always prefer muck , not to give information for free pros opponents. It would make sense if you want to leave a bad opponent tilted showing a bluff perhaps :p

I show only to maintain my table image or to gain one .
they will get information about you if you show so the more you
show the more they know exactly how you play . definitely don't
do it very often imo :)

Same here, if not used too much it can help you steal when in position.

I hardly ever show my cards, I guess in 5 years I did it once, for the same reasons that are already written.

Better is not to show the cards, because you avoid to show you course during the game.

As I begun playing poker I showed my cards or one card but now I hardly do it anymore! The reason is, that I don't want to give my opponents any guess what I have, had or will have the next time because perhaps I will play the same strategy with worse hands...

I often met people who happened to show their cards, in the likeness of a good bluff. but they soon took off because it reveals their bluff. I never showed. I do not think it is appropriate.

If you plan on bluffing this player a lot then it probably is not a good idea to show him the bluffs. I sometimes show when I have aces that way it makes people wonder if I got aces again. I hardly ever show a bluff unless I'm playing live & the player is a real jerk. I know it's wrong, but I like to rub it in showing he lost to a worse hand.

If the card is good, you can show, especially when asking or to take the bluff too, can show, but next time play on a good map,you need to be unpredictable.

Best to keep the table guessing. Reveal only what you have to, nothing more.

I never show my cards, as I have the auto-muck option checked at all times.

On sites where you can disable this easily at the table (like ACR), then I will sometimes show my cards if play gets folded to me in the BB and I either have a monster (QQ+/AK) or absolute garbage (72o and the likes). It gives out no information about my play whatsoever (since it just got folded to me) but if I show a monster like this, it might make the others think I'm either tilting or less likely to get a good hand shortly after. And showing garbage might just tilt the BTN and SB.

When anyone asks what I had, my response is "now you'll never know".

The exception is during a CC Freeroll. I'll honestly say what I had when asked there, and occasionally reassure someone that they made a correct fold, or that I laid down a big hand.
