I never look at what percentage of hands I play, it all depends on my mood and what cards are coming

Playing 30% of hands, but I think someone is playing 20% is too tight, although it depends on the blinds structure, and the positions should look.

percentage

It depends on the stakes that you are playing. If you take into consideration the fact that on pokerstars there are a lot of players that play 72 or 84 you should be a little bit reserved .

In my opinion, i play like 10-15 % of the hands i get. ( only AA; AK; KK; QQ , AJ ) if i am playing in a tournament ( beginning stage) , for zoom or cash games you can go for a higher range of hands

About 17-19%, which is way too much, imo. And it's a massive leak in my game. I'd suggest avoiding taking too many risks (gotta learn that myself, tho, first).

About 25%, depending if I am getting good starting hands or not :)
20 is too tight and 30 is too much I think :)

Now I must say that the percentage of hands that I play deeply depends on my observance of the other players at my table. So the percentage could go up or down. Because you cannot always play the cards, sometimes you just have to play the player.

I prefer slow tournaments and play average 20% hands. sometimes more or less.. depends what cards and what game it is but average I try to keep around 20%.

I think playing about 25% of hands is a reasonable number.

I don't use a percentage, I go with my gut feeling about every hand I am delt, and watch the other players to see how they play.

Definitely less than 20%, and as far as I can see it helps me achieve better results in tournaments. :)

It really depends. Some MTTs, I might only about 15% - 17%, but in others, I've been around 24% and I know there was at least a couple where I was near or +30%.

You cannot play good poker by playing according to pre-determined hand charts. You must learn how to adjust your ranges based on all of the factors presented to you. There are times where you can find the same hand in the same situation and one time it will be a fold and in another it will be a raise.

Take a hand like 75o from the cutoff. In general, this hand is not on any typical hand chart to play. So most people will by default fold it, because it is a trash hand. But if I am playing against tight blinds, I will make a steal attempt if my image is good.

But then again, hands like T9s from the same position is on a lot of standard hand charts to steal. But if the blinds are really good players who won't give up without putting me to tough decisions, I would fold it.

It's not that simple, you can't say to yourself that you will play 15% of hands every time, because there will be differences between hands with 3 players and 9 players behind table and also differences between passive players and aggresive players.

On average I will play about 15 percent. That is combining the run goods with the run bad.I would have to be on a very good run to play 30 percent or better.
