Struggling with Bankroll Swings – Need Advice

Hey everyone,

I’ve been grinding low-stakes but keep losing my stack after building it up 4-5x. I over-bluff, make bad hero calls, and struggle with discipline, especially during swings.

I’m working on tightening up my game, but I still make impulsive plays. How do you stay disciplined and avoid tilt? Any bankroll management tips or mindset tricks that help?

This happens to everyone))) Play more carefully and take a closer look at your opponents, noting their peculiarities... And change tactics until you find one that's convenient to start with...) Try tournaments... in cash, more risks and tilts...)

I've been playing poker for many years, more than 13, and for me, disciplined play is just a normal part of the process. I'm so used to playing disciplined that I can't imagine or think of playing any other way. In my case, it took me years to get there. I think such stability just comes with experience.

The key is more study---all the things you state are because you have not studied the correct action to the point of it being instinctual. Take the time to study your hands over and over until it become4s natural to make the right decisions. You will still tilt and make mistakes, but the frequency will be much lower.

The advice I can give you is to play in a quiet place.
First, organize your environment and avoid things that might bother you.
Second, sometimes it helps to have a partner or partner you can talk to about your hands or let play for 10 minutes while you calm down.
Thirdly, take advantage of the 5 minutes of rest away from the computer, it is better to arrive a little late than not to rest your mind.

Try to remember that a chip saved is a chip won.

I use to feel that I had to see every hand to the end. Even when I thought I might be beat I would make dumb calls hoping to hit the river…and if I missed…then I’d shove my stake to either try and bluff or because there was no way they had a set….

Remember if think your beat …you just might be…don’t give away your chips!
