Bad beats happen to everyone.
But tilt destroys more bankrolls than bad luck.
How do you control your emotions?

If it's my biggest weakness, especially when I lose to a bad player, then it affects me in the rest of the tournament, I think I have to work on that, and that it doesn't affect me when I lose to a bad player, it's part of poker and you have to accept it, in the long term whoever plays well will be the winner. 😎😇

Tilt has cost me more than any bad beat ever did. And the worst part is you don't even realize it's happening until the damage is done.
My honest answer? I close the table.
Not after the next hand. Not after I 'get even'. Right then. Immediately.
It took me a long time to accept that walking away is not weakness — it's the most disciplined move you can make. The table will always be there tomorrow. Your chips won't be if you stay.
The other thing that helped me was separating the decision from the result. If I made the right call and got unlucky — that's poker. If I'm angry about that, I'm essentially being angry at mathematics. Pointless.
Tilt is just your ego refusing to accept variance.
Once I understood that, it got easier.

I think if you have tilt issues so bad it’s ruining your bankroll then you have other issues that need work. Figure out what that is and work on it off the tables. Tilt control is also a skill that a lot of players need to work on.

Just do the right, think in long term.

Tilt can definitely be one of the biggest leaks if it is not controlled.

What has helped me a lot is constantly reminding myself how much tilt can delay my progress as a professional. When you start thinking in terms of long term success and career development, it becomes easier to stay calm and avoid emotional decisions.

This kind of mental framing does not remove frustration completely, but it makes it much easier to regain control and keep playing your best game.
