Let's say you make a bet and player A raises you. If a player B raises again, then we say he re-raised, but if a player C raises again, then we would have to say that he re-re-raised, let alone if another player (D) raised, do we have to say re-re-re-raised ?what is a 3 bet?
is the first bet called a bet or a raise?
can you raise the BB or do we consider it betting
instead of raising
Sorry gardin555, but the blinds are bets. Also called Blind Bets. The blinds don´t count like a bet, they are amount of chips automatic paid. (SB: 1/2 blind and BB: 1 blind)
The first raise is the Open Raise (OR), its the first bet after the blinds. If we pay the same amount of BB then we are limping.
3bet is the second bet (or raise) to the OR, 4bet is the raise to the 3bet... If we pay the same amount than the 3bet, then we are doing coldcall.
"Raise" or "bet" are words that mean the same, we use to said "raise" when we open raise (OR: the first raise), and "bet" is more used for the bets made after the first raise.
Dont be sorry, we are just exchanging opinions and learning.Sorry gardin555, but the blinds are bets. Also called Blind Bets.
Thank you so much gardin. That's the attitude we should all embrace.Dont be sorry, we are just exchanging opinions and learning.![]()
That's exactly what it is. Thank you.My understanding of this is that it refers to preflop action and the 3-better is the first person to reraise.
Bet 1=the big blind forced bet
Bet 2=the first raise
Bet 3=the first reraise
You started this on purpose didn't you ?I knew this was gonna be funny
