I better prefer AT because it looks how then you have more change to win a pot because A is the most powerful card in the game,so you have more % to win.

I feel like it's a trick question so it's hard to answer! i guess A 10 is the better hand so i would go with that. unless the flop is K K Q then i want the KQ!

I have read every opinion of you fellows and I have thought of the question, AT vs KQ? Very logical your answers since many are well founded, however I think that are two strong hands that we all play, or am I wrong?

Well if both hands are offsuit i would definitely go for a A10 but if KQ are suited and A10 are not i would choose KQ.

It seems to me that the AT card is better. Only because if no one drops the pair, then the ace will take the pot.

I think it all depends on the game, my position, and the size of the blinds. If it is a serious game, like a league game, or high stakes tourney and I am not in the blinds and if the blinds are over 200 I fold both of these hands. If it is a freeroll or a small payout tourney I might call the blinds but no more unless I see a flop and catch a piece of it. I am not fond of either of these hands pre-flop!:D:D

I prefer AT for the higher card but I am clear that it is more difficult to connect them. In the range of hands it is clear that KQ has a higher percentage of winning. AT definitely more uncomfortable to play but is my favorite.

I like KQ but had more success with AT, had lots of success with 10 10, seems to be lucky for me. On the other hand AK has been really unlucky for me.

A10 for me, as the ace is an over card of both K and Q, yes A10 is a gapper and KQ is connectors but ill take my chances with my overcard.

In case anyone was interested, here's the math to show that AT is always better than KQ.

For my KQ always has more equity than A-10. But in these cases luck plays a fundamental role on the flop.
I only play KQo in position. Out of position maybe open if suited.

AT, of course. Especially in the final stages of tournaments where you have to push because you're short.

Just depends on what game, what position and what opponents. Not to mention is there action before me or action going to be happening behind me.

I love A-10 no matter if it's weaker. Is easier to trick your opponent

I would rather have KQ. More options with a straight there. Everytime I have ace 10 and even ace jack I run into someone with ak or aq.
