It's a problem when I'm tilt I find it hard to get out of that thought. But I've been working on that a lot and luckily I'm improving little by little.

If the tilt is a result of losing a tournament, I will turn off poker and be done for the day.

Losses seem worst the moment they happen. The biggest mistake is trying to win back losses.

Best way to get over tilt is volume. More time you put in the less emotional you become.

Hi fullclock. Along time ago, I had a bad problem with tilt. But like others, I had to work on it one day at a time. Now days. tilt has no place in my game. All I do, is to over look beats, go on to the next hand. Think of it like this. The past is the past, there is nothing you can do to change it, however, you can change how you are in the future. TILT is a killer of your whole game. GL today you all

Only way that works for sure is quit. Get them another time.

This is assuming you are playing cash or have already busted out of the tourney when the mofo catches runner runner against you or something.

If you are still in the tourney and you are tilting, then you just gotta find whatever works for you. Maybe go to the bathroom and just mentally reset somehow.

I start with sitting out of all tables for 10 mins. If I manage to gain my composure back, I continue playing or else its end of days play.

from my expierence, i knew that best way to kill a tilt, is go out and take a fresh breath of air. Nice is also to close eyes and make meditation, 4 me is good about ten minutes meditating.

When I'm on tilt, things like music, tea or coffee with a cigarette help me a lot, it's during the game. It is best to take a break in time for a week or two, for example.

I have no method for this. My computer and internet goes automatically into block mode...

It's also a good idea to keep playing and see how long it takes to get rid of your mood.
If the luck comes around, it may be got rid of your mood sooner than expected.

As others have said, tilt management is something, that comes with practice. But I also think, its fair to say, that only a few people can completely rid themselfes of tilt. So when its going absolutely terrible, and it gets to much for even the strongest of minds, then just cut your session short and call it a day.

If you are a cash player, sit out on the next big blind on all your tables and then close them down. If you are a tournament player, stop adding more tournaments and focus on finishing those, you still have running. For me personally sometimes the tilt actually fades away, if I only have 1-2 tournaments running. And occationally one of those last tournaments will end in a big win saving the entire session.

If even just losing a single hand, like some crazy runner-runner bad beat, can set you off, thats really not ideal, and its something, you need to work on. As others have said, why focus on the past, when only the future matter. But if you have this problem, then as a temporary solution sit out immedeatly on all your tables, regardless if its cash or tournaments, and then spend 5 minutes to walk around the house and make a cup of coffee or something. Losing a few blinds by sitting out is far less detrimental than losing a full stack because of tilted play.

To avoid tilt, I try to write down all possible situations in the game plan, which allows me to have more control over the situation during the game.

I think there is no universal method. It all depends on the circumstances under which this or that situation develops.
