SD means short deck... it's a holdem game with reduced cards so the hand rankings are:

  • Royal flush. A royal flush is an ace high straight flush. ...
  • Straight flush. A straight flush is a five-card straight, all in the same suit. ...
  • Four of a kind. Four of a kind, or quads, are four cards of equal value. ...
  • Flush. ...
  • Full house. ...
  • Straight. ...
  • Three of a kind.

So in the short deck the Flush hand is above the Full house , Thats why i lost that hand thank you i didn't know that.

nothing to each other in the future, you will be more careful and know where you are going, but still, it will be a lesson for new users to know and understand their mistakes so as not to lose big money in poker in different games in different games, older hands, you can watch them on the Internet be careful

You're not the first one to fall into this trap.

That's why it's very important to make sure to know the rules and rankings of the game variant you are currently playing! ☺️

Exactly. This mistake pops up repeatedly and underlines the importance of noting, which game you sign up for. Most online games are NLH, but there are other formats. And if you dont even know the rules and much less the strategy of those games, then its a good idea to set filters, so that they dont show up in the lobby ;)

It was the poker gods who decided that you would lose.In general, you have to come to terms with this, perhaps play less and have a lower limit.Don’t forget to add extra money to your account every time you get undressed again.Everyone who has mastered the strategy of the game and at the same time plays in the red. Look for the problem in yourself! Most people, after 3-4 moves (which is completely normal), fall into tilt and then the giving away of money begins and we blame isolated cases for this.

Just another variance to confuse players. Personally, I try to avoid them. It's important to know the hand rankings of the game in which you are playing.

If you play this variant, be aware that A6789 is also a straight. :)

Filters are VERY limited on that site. And the lobby is very poor quality. It'd be extremely easy for someone to enter into a ShortDeck tournament there without knowing it til' the cards were in the air... or when your Fullhouse was losing to a flush. Also, SD MTT's seem to be more popular on that site.
Have you played there?

I'm pretty sure the reason for running another 'variant' isn't to confuse the players & instead it's to offer them another type of game for some variety that they can choose to play in... or not.
Or is this why some sites offer Pot Limit Omaha too? Just to confuse their customers?

Ok but then I guess, people just need to pay attention when registering and/or learn how to play ShortDeck. Learning another format can be good fun, as long as you know, this is, what you are doing :)

I've played this format a few times. It feels a lot like Omaha in terms of action, except whereas in Omaha you have twice as many hole cards, in Short Deck there are just half the cards in the deck. Short Deck is so easy to confuse with normal NLHE, but the flushes are more valuable and the straights have the Ace representing the 5. The result is general mayhem.

Good heavens. Been playing poker over 11 years and have never seen Short Deck poker offered. Recently, I play on Everygame which used to be Intertops, I play on Ignitioncasino which was Bovada, and I play on Replay Poker. I like playing many variants, but playing poker game with missing cards? Sounds like eating cereal without the milk.

Short deck is not real poker. It is just there to encourage action. I stay away from it.
