Exactly, it depends on so many things. If we are truly heads up (meaning only two people at the table, not necessarily SB vs. BB), then I will always play any A. This doesn't mean i will go all in with either hand, but Aces are great cards heads up. Like someone else said previously in this post, it is unlikely someone else has an A if only two people got cards. If 10 people got cards, then there are 20 cards out there and your Arag takes on a whole different story.

As for preference, the difference is so minimal, I wouldn't change how I play heads up with either of these. But if there was a 9 on the flop, i would feel a little better than if there was a 2 on the flop, that is for sure. The straight isn't coming anyway - at least for me.

If we are heads up I would rather have the A9.

If there are multiple players and I have already invested my money, I would prefer the A2.

I prefer A9 suited if it's heads up. I prefer A2 suited with multiple players in the hand.
