I'd rather have pocket Aces. It's the strongest starting hand, while suited Ace-King still needs to hit the board.

I'd definitely take pocket Aces. It's the best starting hand in poker and gives you the highest chance to win preflop. AKs is strong too, but aces are already ahead.

I feel AK does slightly better in multiway pots, cause it can improve in multiple ways especially suited.

Heads up you are almost a huge favorite with AA usually around 4-1 favorite.

Edit: think I have to swallow my words, since this hand happened a minute after I posted.

That's AA. With AK, neither A nor K often pair. I feel like AK suited often doesn't even make a straight or a flush.
