Do you guys do home games with friends? And how much do you usually play for?

I used to play in a lot of home games. My favorites were the $5-$50 freezeouts with standard starting stacks- which let you get in a few games in a night. Usually the final 2 would make a deal unless it was the last game of the night.

The other format I would see a lot was a $20 buyin for deepstacks with a rebuy and addon. With this format you only usually get in 1 game per night.

I had to take an antique chess clock and board plus several valuable books as payment from a friend who had no money left after a home game.

It was decades ago and I still feel bad about it.

Don't play about money with friends. At least not if some of them can't afford to lose.
