How different is live poker compared to online for you?

I’ve mostly played online, but recently started playing more live games and the difference is pretty interesting. The pace is much slower and there seems to be a lot more focus on reading people and table dynamics.

For those who play both, do you adjust your strategy a lot when switching between live and online? What were the biggest things you had to adapt to when you first started playing live?

I’ve spent today bouncing between an online grind and a live session at the local room, and it feels like two different sports. Online, I feel like a scientist in a lab, clicking buttons based on ranges. Live, I feel like a gladiator in an arena where my physical presence matters as much as my cards

The transition is such a trip - it’s like going from a fast-paced video game to a slow-burn psychological thriller.
I really had to learn to sit on my hands because the slower pace makes it so tempting to play "trash" just to stay involved.
Once you realize people live fold way less than they do online, you can really start punishing them with value bets!
