Just out of curiosity, anyone carry more than 10k on a plane? What happens if you declare cash on plane? While I never had to do it, I am thinking about flying out and play some $400-600 tournaments. If i win lets say, 20k. Do i have to report that when i fly back? What happens if i have to report it? Do i have to pay some fee on it?
Sorry, very new at this. Want to ask some members here who have experience of carrying cash above 10k.

I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying that much cash... you don't have to declare cash on domestic flights but if they see a large amount of cash they can ask for documentation, source, receipts, etc., any amount over ten K would do it. There's no fee, nothing to report, except to the IRS lol

..... alternatives?, a bank deposit, a cashiers check, etc., much better options than carrying that much cash around...

You need copy of currency report form and show it at airport (when you arrival or departure) - if you carry more than 10k...

Just watch out for cousin Spike and his friend Joker...😂

It all depends on which Country you are Flying into, They all have different rules and regulations on Money transfers, Country to Country and it could be seen as Money Laundering, All I can say is do your research first as they do have the right to confiscate in some Countries unless you have Valid proof where it came from.

I dont have any experience with this, but presumably you can ask the casino to make a wire transfer to your bank account instead of paying out the winnings in cash? There are also tournaments, that pay out $1 million or more to the winner, and I cant imagine, that anyone bring that kind of money home in a suitcase ;)

I understand that if you have to declare it when you leave the country, as long as you fly within your own territory it is not declared. If I am wrong please tell me.

I asked this to TSA and they told me as long as I am in the USA I don’t have to declare anything. If I fly out of the USA or into the USA with more than 10k it must be declared.

I think it would be better to get cash at the casino. You could call ahead and see if you could use your credit card, wire transfer, cash App, paypal, apple pay, etc.

Look up some of the lawyers on YouTube who cover civil asset forfeiture. It isn't only on planes where your money is at risk from lowlife agents of state repression but on the road.

Definitely best to declare it to customs or they would seize it
