6 seat or 8 seat ring games which do you prefer.

I was looking for action with my meager stakes and I am deciding between 6 seat and 8 seat game. How do figure the difference. 6 seats would mean more action right. 8 seat probably changes the odds some how maybe tighten ranges. Is there a difference in rake.

For some reason, it seems to me that when playing at 6-seater tables, the game should be more aggressive, not tight.

Typically no but you need to check the rake structure for the particular site, where you want to play. Other than that try both formats and then continue with the one, you enjoy most. Thats pretty much all, there is to it, and others cant really help you to choose.

I personally prefer the 8 it seems to better my odds.

I always just choose six seat tables. I guess my reasoning is less people lesser the chance of losing.

I prefer to play 8 handed...the blinds come less often.

I actually prefer hyper turbo tourneys... It doesn't matter if it's 6 seats or 9 seats... Of course the playing skills and game play will change, since in 6 seat i would 3 bet A-9, while at 9 seats i would fold it... But i like fast tourneys

Playing a 6 seat table you will see more flops with not as strong of hands. You will also pay the blinds a lot more often than a 8 or 9 handed table. Personally I would rather play 9 handed but that's a personal choice.

For me, I enjoy 8 or 9 on a table. It gives me more time to think before my turn and I usually last longer in the tournaments.

I prefer 6 or 9max because it suits my style better. The game is not as wild as 6max and I enjoy it more.

6max of course. Full ring is more tight, no action

I prefer 6 max but this game is more aggressive than 8 handed due to players are playing with wider range.
