Can BOTS be beaten?

What exactly is a bot? My thought would be teams playing or the site's workers setting up friends to make sure that the common customer rarely wins thus preventing many withdrawals. I don't know why many like to defend them as they are only regulated usually by some third-world country. Of course the country would allow for shady things to occur and take a cut of the profits. Greed is a powerful thing and even though they would already make a great deal of money, it is simple human instinct to always want more.

bot = poker robot = computer playing poker
Your thoughts on teams / friends is called collusion.
I didnt see many players defending the (use of) bots.
FYI: on all sites I'm aware of (only reputable ones), both bots and collusion are forbidden (luckily).
