Casino Employees in States where online gaming is legal

Quick question for anyone who lives in a state where online poker is legal. Are casino employees allowed to play online or are they not allowed because they work at a casino?

Good question. My initial reaction is that they would be allowed to play. Here in NY casino employees are only banned from their individual properties. For example Tioga Downs dealers play at Turning Stone, Rivers Schenectady, Monticello, etc. with no issues so I can't see why they wouldn't be allowed to play online if/when NY legalizes it. But I guess it could be a state by state thing. Would be nice to hear from Nevada, Deleware and/or NJ folks with a gaming license as to what their experience is.

I read on the PA gaming update site that casino employees are going to be excluded from being able to play online. I'm glad we have officials that make these laws that treat everyone equally.

In Ohio casino employees are not allowed to play at any casino in the state. At least in PA they allow casino employees to play at other casinos. Why they won't allow them to play online too makes no sense.

By the way the state is going to lose a lot of money by barring the biggest group of poker players there is.

I don't see why employees shouldn't be allowed to play online for any peculiar reason tbh 8)

You can play but of course not while working. it would be the same as going to another casino while off to play.
