The thing is...

Human brains are hardwired to search for and identify patterns, it's an instinctive genetic programming that cannot be escaped- only conscious of.

Anything truly random does not have patterns, well... At least not by design or intent.

So we subconsciously attempt to attribute consequence to that where there mightn't be any.

This is very similar to why our brains see faces in pitta bread, pieces of wood and anything really. Faces are one of the 'patterns' that we are essentially programmed to identify.

Yes, there are many and varied cognitive biases!

Fairly certain that video doesn't really cover every bias, but definitely all the main/known ones.

~EDiT:- Being aware of these can be very helpful in poker!

Sounded like a missclick to me, unexpected bad bet.

There's no point in thinking about it, it's unnecessary

I only think about how to find time to play, which unfortunately is always lacking. If I play, my bankroll grows, and I'm not interested in all the other conspiracy theories. Luck, it either exists or maybe it will be tomorrow

You mean like having you lose a flip with overcards against a lower pocket pair that jams all in pre-flop and then immediately go out the next hand when you flop the second best K flush on a monotone board, against someone who flopped the best possible A nut flush? Like when blockers don't seem to block and you are on the wrong side of the coin flip?

Funny how bad luck seems to run in doublets or triplets of hands. But hey, it's apparently just cognitive bias and variance so nothing to see here. 🙃

No I don't spend my time worrying about monsters under the bed or in the closest. But then I've put my effort into hours, days and months of hard work to learn how to play winning poker before I ever deposited online and started playing 20+ years ago.

My advice spend less time worrying about monsters under the bed and in closet and more time working and studying to improve you game.

something that is probs just by chance, but I seem to notice that say a person is sitting out for the whole game, they're about to run out or BB/ante has forced them to go all in. I call for the sack of calling even though I had a bad hand and most times I will get a random weak pair on the river that gives me the edge over them. I feel like this may be controlled a little bit to sometimes just get rid of people

Of course, I think about RNG all the time. Poker rooms love it when I suffer, so I very often find myself in a situation where my "QQ" lose to "KK" on the bubble. Or when my "AA" lose to "AK". Although I don't rule out the fact that I'm just a paranoid fox.

Hard to understand what your asking saying but ya i always grade rng's keep ideal of changes with rng's over a certain amount of time each year etc...I do not LIKE many RNG's in online poker at all....Yet some seem a heck of a lot closer to Live poker then others....Worst for me is ACR i call that an action poker RNG and its counter is all about big hands multiple people i grade it worst in the business honestly sad thing when was playing bugsy club poker school online in 2003 was the best imo so to be as action oriented as is def always concerns me....

You definitely don`t understand what is "random". But randomness says that whatever has the same probability to happen, then it will eventually happen if there are many repetitions of this event. Imagine how many millions of hands happen every single day.

What is "strange behavior"? One out coming in the river? Well, if the card is in the deck, it has the same probability of any other card. What is strange about that? It is rare, but how rare? Chance is 2%. What is two percent? 1 in 50 times it will happen. If you play 50 hands like that, expect to get beat by 1 out on the river at least once. What is strange about that? 50 isn`t a high number.

For me, strange behavior would be the same card being dealt two times, for example.

There was a "home-made" site that got a lot of criticism on another forum for the frequency of 4 of kind.

I think if a RNG is off, someone will figure it and analyze their HUD database for the evidence.

again you say some mysterious suspicious things - I understand poker as an interesting pastime and if someone wants to get money there with a guarantee, then I do not recommend it
