Yes, several actually. Home poker games, mostly. And met many people who are now known to but good, honest folks. A few in casino tournaments.

But some you can’t trust as far as you can throw them.

Hi everyone.

Playing online, I presume that it must be difficult to make real "friends", but I hope that in Cardschat that does happen, since here I feel like I'm at a bar table chatting with friends, I feel at home.
In real life it is already difficult to make real friendships (I guess age influences). At 12 we are all friends, at 58 .......... (but I don't lose hope hahaha).

But, I met a few of people in personaly who I met at the forum. I consider them for friends and I did not regret. They are great people on line and in a real life too.

I've made literally 50/100 friends and associates through playing cards not so much online. more at a live game enjoy your home games everyone. Online is where you can hone your skills to take down the home game

Sure. Back when I played at Lock Poker (almost exclusively) most of the time it was a "lock" to see a 5-6 reg's at a final table and we were all friends in the chat-box. Good times, good times.

Yes, both online and live. Though, mostly live. Some are merely acquantences but there are a couple I'd consider actual friends that I met on the felt and have had a relationship with over the years.

Hi everyone! I do not believe much in friendship because today the world we live in is very selfish and only your family may really care, real friends in life will be very scarce. But within the online poker community you can find teammates to help you navigate the path and you can share great experiences, but they will only be partners. I participate in a Latin American community and I have colleagues from different countries with whom we share knowledge and experience simply, we treat each other with respect and encourage each other to do well by doing what we like.

I have made some friends from playing online poker and I have even met some of them in the real world. You never know who you will run into while playing online. Meeting people from a poker forum is generally easier imo because you can get to know each other to an extent.
