Actually if we talk about live poker, if you usually meet people

but that's also how you make friends and enemies in face-to-face poker

but when it comes to online poker it is very difficult to make friends! if I already made contacts with
people we are playing online

Definitely live game! Started playing with a few close buddies, then the group grew and we all already had something in common. Online is a little more tricky, but if you put yourself out there. You usually have some good conversation &#55357;&#56846;

I have not met any friends playing online poker. Live poker is where I meet people. I also don't chat because I'm usually playing multiple tables online.

yes, but mostly live. Online I had friends for analyzes but I left them because they started to be lazy. Live I just shared passion with my friend who had a lot poker friends. So I met them a lot.

Accidently saw the cap with PokerStars label my friend wore)
About a year or so I saw the phone screen with PS game.

I think we all have some friends who play poker, just don't know about it.
Even my new man turned up a poker player ( just for fun)

Playing Online I would say I never had the chance to know and have a friend, and I have been playing for years! It is usually occasional "hey how are you?" greets from players in my country Philippines, (not so many), and interaction is not that long specially if you play "fast" poker

The others I don't think they want to be my friend especially if they greet me with "You donk", "you fish!" LOL.

I've made many friends over the years playing in home poker games, especially while living overseas. It was a great excuse to get the small foreign community together to hang out, drink some beers and play a fun game. Plus, everyone was able to improve their games by playing weekly.

Reading the replies in this thread, you'd think Poker is a mainstream game with its place in society.

I have friends where Poker is a mutual interest, but I've found more often than not, that people generally view Poker as (irresponsible) gambling that is no different than blackjack or any other game you'd find in a casino.

EDIT: oops, realized this thread is in the "Online Poker" forums. On online poker, everyone plays poker

I haven't made friends , playing online poker, been playing many years now too. I just play poker , not looking to make friends. I close all chats when I play poker. Playing live poker I still don't make friends, play live with my friends as well. Making friends playing any poker I haven't made any friends.

I would have to say no ..... it was always around ... first friendship, then poker with them. Playing online I never managed to befriend any of them. Regards.
