I suspect I'm being corralled today. How can I report it and can I get a refund if I get caught?

I think the micro stakes are not very lucrative for scammers, so I think most of us are safe. ;)

I agree with Andyreas' post, scammers usually stay on more relevant amounts, good luck

You can be scammed at any stakes. Scammers actually like to operate on levels where they will be left alone and will not be suspected as much. If you suspect you are being scammed, report it to the security contact of whatever room you are playing at, but don't expect a refund unless you have a convincing case.

Been playing 20+ years online mainly micro/low stakes. Very unlikely anyone's scamming or cheating at micro/low stakes and not gonna be caught. It takes brains and knowledge to cheat without getting caught. Anyone with brains and knowledge is gonna take the risk of getting caught, money taken and banned for micro pennies, nickels and dimes.

Besides you play long enough you get to know the vast majority of the player pool. Anyone or any new account sticks out like a sore thumb. Also if they're cheating they sure suck at as I'm still a winning player and I'm by no means that good/great.

Cheers!!!

Some poker players refuse to play online for fear of “hackers.” But online poker sites are so focused on security from hacking that trying to commit one is, as they say, a thankless task. The most common form of online fraud is collusion among players. This is when two or more players communicate their own hole cards to each other. It is quite difficult to pull off such a scam in a live game, but on the Internet everything is simplified. Participants in the conspiracy communicate by phone or even play on nearby computers.

I think a lot depends on the security service of the room, but there must be evidence

Be cautious of unsolicited messages, requests for personal information, and offers that seem too good to be true. Verify the legitimacy of contacts and websites independently, and never share sensitive information unless you're certain of the other party's trustworthiness.

How are you going to 'get caught' if it's someone else who is scamming?

And care to explain further... I mean 'what scam'?

Friend, it would be good if you came back here and explained better what happened. Everything was very vague and we are speculating what happened without really knowing what happened. A more detailed explanation would make it easier for us to help you.

Ahh I wondered what you were going on about. I was almost scammed with a fraudulent email from a site I order off of a few weeks back. I'm usually more diligent in checking the website address because some scam emails get past my email's detection. I clicked the link and autofilled my name and email before realizing . No harm no foul, expect now I keep getting all these "hot ukrainian" girl offers :sneaky:
I've always been diligent but sometimes it happens. My only identity theft problem before in my life was through snail mail. I treat is as scammers are everywhere so double checking is a must.

It varies depending on the platform. On WPT Global, for instance, you can easily access your game history and report any issues.

If you are pretty convinced, you could look for help with the support. You'll need to give some information (name of the players involved, tournament or hand number). Most of the times they won't see evidence of it, but you could try. Just don't do it every time you lose 😅
