How many hands do I need to get an idea of my stats?

How many hands do you guys think I need to have to know how my MTT game is going?
So I can compare my stats with the ideal ones?

Good question — it really depends on the volume and format you’re playing.

For MTTs, variance is huge, so I’d say you need at least a few thousand tournaments before your stats start to mean something.

Hand samples can be tricky because tournament situations vary a lot, but around 100k–200k hands usually gives you a solid picture of your overall tendencies.

Do you track your results with a HUD or just manually review deep runs?
