Playing schedule / what is the best day to play?

Hey guys, I'm currently grinding regularly and noticed that there are some days where the field is really hard to face, and others, there seems to have a lot of maniacs feeding us with their sweetie chips!

being that said, did you guys notice this as well? What is your preferred days and which tournaments do you like to play the most?

I don't play MTTs, but Fre-Sun has the most (drunk) recreational players on most sites.

I agree, the number of maniacs increases sharply on weekends.

I play when I have free time and a good mood. I do not like to play on days when I am tired after work. I especially like to play on weekends when there are a lot of promising tournaments. In general, I play 4-5 days a week.

Games tend to be at least a little bit softer, when people with regulars jobs are not working, like in weekends but also evenings in the relevant time zones. Northern hemisphere winters also tend to have slightly softer games and higher volume due to less competition from outdoor activities. To be honest its not like the differences are massive though.

And if you play cash games or SnGs, its more important to do some table selection. If 7 people have registered for a 9-man SnG on Pokerstars, and they are all solid regulars, then I dont register for that game, regardless what day or time it is. I want to see at least a few known fish or several unknown players, before I am interested in joining the party.

tbh I'm finding Wednesdays and Fridays the best days to play. The pros are still not there and a lot of bad regs.

Maybe it’s like the Sudoku in the newspaper…Monday is the easiest puzzle, gradually getting harder towards the weekend.
