Poker bots? Are they real.......

I've played on a certain site in a cash tourney where only a few of us talked at the final table.Not saying the rest were bots but they could've said something and seemed to make alot of tight plays.What do U all think???????????????

unfortunely bots are some problem at online poker,

even party poker have a team responsible for looking for bots and putting them a bans and other conqecency.

Boots are computer programs designed to play poker without human oversight. Boots are illegal and unethical to use.
Therefore, it is very important not to lose your head in the game.

Finale table at small stakes, for someone who plays dozens MTT daily. It's not a such big thing...

I\m playing just couple MTT and also sometimes turned off the chat. In table's options, you can pernamently turn off messages from other players.

Just because people dont chat, does not mean, they are not human. There are many reasons, why chat in online poker is so not pupular any more including:

* People are multitabling so dont have time
* Many dont speak english
* Bad experiences with verbal abuse in the chat

I've heard a lot of players discuss bots and some of the well known poker sites have mechanisms in place to get rid of the bots.

It would be good if all the poker rooms managed to get rid of bots as well as HUDs and player tracking for exploitation.

This is where the line between online and live poker get drawn-up. In a live trny/ring-game you are playing at one table but in an online setting the option for playing at more than one table is available. With that being said one of the online strategies is to play premium hands on multiple tables. This increases your chances of a positive ROI depending on the number of tables being played. Let's say you're playing 4 cash tables at $.10/.20; you've increased your ROI potential by 400% instead of 100%. Anyway, I can see why some players might not be "chatty" since the chat-box is, probably, small and insignificant to them. After all, this is a business for a lot of players and talking about it is not a priority.
On another note bots are predictable and can be beaten, easily, I might add.

There are players who never enter into conversations and this does not mean that they are bots. There was a time when Pokerstars forced you to confirm that you are a person in the chat. It was a long time ago and now it's gone.

It would not surprise me especially for smaller sites. They could use house bots to make it look like there are more players on the site and allow sit and gos to proceed without a long wait.

I believe they exist. I remember...played for many hours at a table where one player earned 8 stacks with a very aggressive play. No one could stop him...

They are literally real. But room's security service usually did fast and good work.( sometimes after reports). I am speaking about most popular rooms(PS,GG,PP,PK,888)

Bots

To think that there are no bots playing online poker is certainly a mistake to think they don't exist. How many times have we all seen the sme player playing at several money tables and winning at them all. Yes I know there are good players that can play a few tables at a time but not several and be winning at them all. LOL

I NEVER speak when at online tables. Can't be bothered moving the keyboard for one - and second, it distracts me. So not speaking doesn't mean a thing.

they exist. and you can learn a lot by studying the scripts they play from. Back in the day used to play heads up on penny table with the punks. Learn to play tight for sure then.

Okay, are you awake? Every day I meet a program that deceives. And for example, if you take a party poker room, then they even deceive you live in a casino, I noticed for more than a year that I don’t play there anymore.
