Is there any special reason for poker players' names to be so significant, representing strength, energy, bravery, or even indifference, like some who use only numbers or meaningless letters... Can we take advantage of the relationship among players registered in a particular tournament? What do you say about it?

It is unlikely that a player's name has an impact on strength, energy or anything like that. At one time, when registering at poker rooms, I came across that the name was taken or even I was forcibly given what I was (sometimes it was just numbers with an alphabetic designation) Well, imagine that you have the coolest name at the table. Will your game change? Are you going to play differently?

The name doesn't interfere with anything, just study and understand the game and each player you're playing this naming and statistics business!

Hello. In my case the pokername at the table is the random including my name and seven numbers.
So i think that it's not have the sence always. But at the same time many players choose the nickname carefully for their own reasons.
The general answer just can't exist.

If you're asking if a player's screen name affects their skill, luck, experience or results, I don't think so :)
A player is either disciplined or not. A player either has a goal or not. A player either has positive results or not. Everything is quite simple in my opinion :)

Personally, I think that the name of a poker player is representative when that player or player is well known, oh they are professional players or they are players that are known for being very aggressive, because I can simply come across thousands of players up to date and with very incredible names and who simply play recreationally and their name does not represent anything in terms of the way they play.

The names of the players are irrelevant. Only their game, their decisions and their mistakes matter.

The point of the nickname in poker rooms is damaged to the point of locating it in search engines so that we can have access to the opponent's information, in online poker we do not have the face to face this is a basic element that we must be looking for at all times on search engines (knowing who we are playing with).
Point of nick names being respected is their performance at the tables, which generate news etc...
ex: remember victor bloom ''isildur1'' no one knew who that nickname was until it was announced by the pokerstars team years ago, after that his nickname became much more popular at the tables. glglgl class.

I don't mind the nickname of my opponents. I am only interested by their skills

I play using the screen name EmilyWT. One day another player asked me what the "WT" meant, and I said it was my initials. He never said another word so after the game I looked it up and it is slang for "white trash". LOL!!

I like the self depreciating ones the most and sometimes they are quite representative of the player's style: Fish, donkey etc...

poker names may sometimes make sense, but if you've played with this player for more than 1 hour I think you'll know what kind of player he is and whether his name means the same as in the poker game itself, you'll understand that the main thing is watch these players and how they play and you'll understand the difference sometimes it'll make sense sometimes not so it might just be a name
