I would like to know how the random number generator works in top poker rooms. And how much you can trust them.

Hello! 😊
As far as I know, shuffling is often used before laying out each part of the board. This method is used in top online poker rooms to prevent hacking of the program in order to find out the following cards - they will turn out to be unknown, even if the attackers managed to hack the server where the sequences are generated.🤓

Hi!

Be welcome!
Have a look at the discussion in the thread below, there are some considerations about poker rooms.

Also, there are other systems like coinpoker’s that are blockchain based if I’m not mistaken.

I once read a super explanation about a former IT employee who worked for casino on reedit, where he explained in detail... but I can't find that link anymore.

Hello!
In one of the YouTube videos, Pokerstars explained how their random number generator works.
I didn't find anything about other rooms.

there are videos on YouTube, watch and you'll understand how they work, but you should trust them because they are really random:)

the video says that mouse movements also affect the random number generator...maybe we should remember all the movements when we are given A A🤣

This is the first thing I thought of when I watched this video 😂

But as I understand it, the parameters of all players are included in the algorithm, and we cannot influence how photons behave when fired.

we definitely can't influence photons:D, it's not that simple here, here are the player's parameters and the number of hands played and the time in the game, etc. what we don't even guess about

If you play games then you know how RNG works lol
Just play RE 6 , the harder modes , to see how the game tries constantly to make you lose , with crazy ways , whatever you do , lol

I'll tell you how it works...the winning hand is predetermined before any cards are dealt... and if that person doesn't fold, they win.

There is nothing random about poker software. If you are observant there are patterns you can recognize.

I can hear the deluded sheeple protesting as I introduce the 'low stack all in' phenomenon?.... "no no that's just gambling with a decent start hand".
Sorry, I'm not talking about the AA, AK shove !
Watch the AFK player that is swallowed by the blinds or ante...even if they're holding 2,5o, they win and the percentage is too high to be dismissed as variance.

As stated... there are patterns you can recognize and should use to your advantage.

The running hot, the low stack, and the multiway all in preflop.

There is always a winner who is predetermined from the start. Even in live poker, when the deck is shuffled, one of the players already has the winning hand. This is the essence of poker. We do not know whose hand is the winning one, and we are trying to turn the tide of the hand)

I'm sorry? The discussion is a random number generators!

The idea is that you are dealt hole cards...and everything that flows from the deck thereafter is unknown, as is randomly generated.

In a live game the cards are shuffled and random, there is no predetermined winner. The order of cards after receiving your hole cards isn't set. The dealer isn't pulling the flop, turn and river cards out from the top of the deck.

Do not forget that after the deck is mixed, the cards are in the exact order in which they will be dealt. The same is true online.

Actually if I'm not mistaken some sites have a continuous shuffle. So even if the pre determined argument made sense in some cases it's not even true.

That isn't how they're supposed to work... it is supposed to generate a sequence of numbers that are not predictable and lack any pattern. Starting from seed (a random number) with the first seed dictating the second seed and so forth in line with whatever algorithm is used.

Poker offshore, pirates use pseudo number generator, which can be manipulated.... as true random number generators do not use algorithms

What would be the purpose of that?

Just adds an extra layer of security.

Online poker sites use random sources/hardware outside of an algorithm/software. There's a Youtube video ITT on how PokerStars does it.

If they are just using algorithms or if rigged it would be repeatable and/or it would show up in players hand histories. There's a reason the countless times that people claim the sites to be rigged via the deal it's never accompanied by evidence despite the millions upon millions of available data.

I don't even know what you're trying to say here....would your hand history indicate whether you've been creamed?

83% of the time with AA , I've won small pots, the biggest being $50
The 17% losing hands were all ins involving several hundreds of pounds!

Computer programs don't get the math wrong...it's a bit silly of you to suggest that they would.

There is no point in trusting generators.
It is necessary to trust yourself, your skills and experience. I don't count on luck at all, and the random number generator is essentially just a lottery.

If you are questioning the authenticity of the RNG, prepare to lose some money lol.
