Luv this site..
Just wanted to share about tilt or how to reduce it.
When playing, focus on the process and making the optimal move not on the player who just took all your money.

It's easy to say, but not so easy to do
I think we need to approach the issue more thoroughly and create the necessary conditions to prevent this dangerous phenomenon from occurring :)

I think every player has their own methods. But the main thing is not to ignore this phenomenon, because ignoring it can lead to significant losses. For certain players, the self-restriction mechanisms that most sites have can be useful.

Awareness is the first step: This guy/spot/run out has tilted me.

Have a quick "ritual" that allows you to experience and acknowledge the tilt, the ritual will have a defined end and the tilt is not allowed to continue after that point.

Post "ritual", you now concentrate on the business of playing 100% A game.

Example ritual:
Pick up and hold the mini Bhudda you keep on your computer desk for good luck.
Have a rant about "How bad is this donkey.. etc.. etc"
Allow yourself to feel the physical effects of the tilt.
Put the Bhudda down - this is the clear signs the ritual has ended, tilt has ended.

It may not work like magic first time, but you will get better at it as your brain learns the required pattern.

Tip: Don't use your mouse as part of the ritual, breaking them is expensive and you are going to need it after:ROFLMAO:

The only way to avoid tilt online is to play on different platforms.. once your in tilt, you can’t do anything about it and if you have a few different platforms to play on you can’t wait it out and cycle them around. Don’t throw good money after bad money, if your tilted your not going to win online.

I think everybody reacts differently to losing money and feeling defeated. Some people take it more personally, it starts to affect their judgement and they start playing bad. And lose even more money trying to chase their losses. Everybody needs to find out methods of trying to curb down the tilt that work for them. There is no such thing as the same method working for everybody.

That’s a really good way to frame it. Focusing on the process instead of the outcome has helped me a lot with online tilt as well. Once I start thinking about who beat me or how unlucky a hand was, my decisions usually get worse.

One thing I try to do is pause for a few hands after a big loss and ask myself whether I’d make the same play again in that spot. If the answer is yes, it’s easier to let go and move on. If not, that’s a signal to slow down or even take a short break.

online poker makes tilt sneakier because hands come so fast. Managing it is less about never feeling frustrated and more about recognizing it early before it affects multiple decisions.
