What's the best and easiest bitcoin wallet to use? I have to set up such a wallet. Above all, it should be easy to use and safe.

Easy and safe do not go hand in hand.
Personally I would stay away from any App based / online wallets. If I would need to move my coins often I would use a hardware wallet like Ledger. Opinions differ, but for long time storage a paper wallet is still an option.

I use a blockchain wallet. It is simple and reliable. With this wallet I withdraw money to my bank card.

it depends on what is your purpose to have bitcoin, just a way to exchange with fiat? to store in long term?

guess you want to use it only for poker.

The main one, what available and well known and used it for this purpose: Coinbase. If you want to transfer the crypto to your bank account, it is a good one (there is couple of % fee.) Even they have some regulation you can't transfer in/out for gambling purposes, but i never had any problem with that - just heard they blocked some accounts because of that (probably not because small amounts.)

if the safety is the first then hardware ledger, but it isn't free, so probably not the best for first time.

used crypto.com, not the best, but it is okay for this purpose + you can order a debit card, so you can put the cryptos, btc there and spend it without transfer to bank account. (Anyway, i recommend that, find one with free debit card, without monthly cost - depends on where you live, plenty have location restrictions, you can even withdraw from ATM, but the best use it for shopping, in that case none of them counts the 1-5% fee.)

for temporary or trading purposes, found really good the FTX, and you can store crypto there too.

but there are plenty, and these are just the easiest, without download.

Check out the coinmarketcap.com they have a list about different type, kind of wallets.

oh, and always check the fees, even between crypto and crypto there are big differences if you send small amounts. ie. never use cryptos with eth blockchain for small transfers. really expensive.

I can recomend Binance. I'm not sure about their safety in regards to blockchains or cybersafety since I hardly know anything about that

But Deposits and withdraws are instant and the App/Browser page is very user friendly.

I use Coinbase as it is much easier than the others for my country. Binance and Blockchain are great options too.

The best Bitcoin wallet is the blockchain wallet. You can also find it in Payer, and you can use trading platforms to save money, such as the Binance platform

I bought a Ledger Nano X about 2 months ago.
Never dealt in crypto before and it was pretty easy to set up.
I made a withdrawal from PS to ETH to try it out, but you have to go through Neteller as a go between, I think.

I'm trying to understand this topic, but I can't seem to get it. Can you point me to a source that explains everything in an accessible way. Bitcoin is different and which one to choose, which platform I don’t know to study this issue.

For convenience, I use two wallets. One wallet is directly on the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, the other is a blockchain wallet. Both are convenient, safe and easy to use.

I have Coinbase also but have been scared to use it for poker withdrawals or deposits. My understanding is that they can lock your account for using it to gamble with? Anybody else with any experience with Coinbase for poker withdrawals and deposits?

I too have a coinbase acc. but I find it rather expensive. I read somewhere that Binance is cheaper to use so I'm going to give them a go. The only thing is coinbase is well known and reliable. Can someone perhaps tell me what binance is like in this regard? many thanks

As just a straight up wallet to store crypto, i've just been using Exodus. Simple app on my phone, good recovery options as long as you get your 12 word key safely taken care of. Received funds from blockchain.poker as well as ACR and swcpoker. betonline requires a $50 deposit before withdrawing freeroll winnings however and i dislike BS policies like that, so looking into a way around that.

Can't link to things here, but just google Exodus Wallet. You can set it up on a computer, but i'm not figuring on having millions..... so just got their app for my phone. Was very easy to setup and only show the currencies I was interested in. live updating on current values as well. No policies to deal with like a middleman like coinbase either.

I have heard that rumour too but I have used it for poker rooms ACR & Betonline and also some casinos. About $800 in transactions over past year or so without any issues.

As a hard wallet, I use ledger and I also think it's the best one you can find on the market.
Nevertheless, please do your own research.
I have a nano s but I got it 4 years ago, so if I would have to pick one model today I'd go with the nano x.

As a soft wallet, I use those on Binance and Metamask, mostly in bull market cycles. During crypto winter, I move most of my funds on the ledger cold storage.
Feel free to ask me anything about this.

P.S. Not your key = not your funds.

At first I used Binance, I liked it but they got into trouble with regulators, so the SEPA transfers were stopped. I now use Coinbase, but the fees are very high :-(

Agreed. If your wallet is online, then someone else is holding your bitcoin.

For my first try, I bought a Ledger Nano X in January.
Ledger has a good set of videos to show you how to use it.

I was able to do a transfer from PokerStars to my Ledger wallet no problem.
